I am pleased to announce that Andrew Langham (46) has joined the executive leadership team at Murray & Roberts from
1 February 2007 and is located at Corporate Office. He will work with Keith Smith over the next few months with the object of succeeding Keith before the end of this financial year in his responsibility for the Construction Materials sector.

Andrew worked with me in Murray & Roberts between 1994 and 1998 as divisional financial director in the Contractors Group at the time. He was active with our engineering services, mining and marine contracting operations both locally and internationally and from 1997, engaged the rationalisation of the properties and housing development operations.

Andrew was appointed financial director of publicly listed Avis Southern Africa in 1998, which also included operations in Scandinavia and Australia. The company was acquired by Barloworld and delisted from the JSE Limited in 2004 whereafter he was appointed Group Financial Director of Barloworld Motors.

Andrew studied for his BCom at UCT and served his articles with Ernst & Young. He spent his early career before Murray & Roberts as group finance manager of a Cape Town based national construction company which listed on the JSE Limited in 1991. Andrew is married to Fiona and they have three children.
