| MAJOR PROJECTS IN THE MIDDLE EAST |
| Murray & Roberts has noted previously that it was tendering for the
construction of three major projects in the Middle East.
The Department of Civil Aviation of the Government of Dubai has this weekend issued a letter of intent to award the contract for completion of Terminal 3, Concourse 2 and Car Park at Dubai International Airport to the Joint Venture of Al Habtoor Murray & Roberts and Takenaka. The contract is valued at approximately USD 1,0 billion with a start date of 18 December 2004 and a duration of 28 months. Murray & Roberts is project leader with a 40% share. Murray & Roberts in partnership with Al Habtoor has a proud record of achievement in constructing some of the landmark projects that define the recent development of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. These include the Burj al Arab Hotel and Concourse 1 at Dubai International Airport. Takenaka is a leading Japanese contractor with specialist expertise in integrated airport projects. Although the Burj Dubai and Dubai Mall projects were not secured, Murray & Roberts has gained significant expertise participating with its partners in bidding such significant ventures against the best in global competition.
