| GAUTRAIN PROJECT - RAPID RAIL SYSTEM
MURRAY & ROBERTS HOLDINGS LIMITED The Bombela Concession Company ("Bombela") has signed a Concession Agreement with the Gauteng Provincial Government enabling construction to commence immediately on Gautrain and the grant of a twenty-year concession to operate and maintain the system. Bombela has been contracted to construct and deliver Gautrain within a period of 54 months. The system linking Johannesburg International Airport to Sandton and Midrand has been contracted to be completed within a 45 month period. Murray & Roberts is a 25% Shareholder in Bombela and a 45% Shareholder in a joint venture that is being sub-contracted to complete the civil works. In total Murray & Roberts share of work over the next 54 months will be approximately R4,5 billion. Financial closure is still to be completed and this should be achieved within the next six months.
