UCW was recently awarded a contract to upgrade 20 long-distance coaches for an
Angolan company, Mestres& Servicos, Lda, on behalf of the Angolan railways.
Second-hand units, purchased from Spoornet, will be upgraded at UCW for this
project, and important first step in a programme of rolling stock refurbishment
for Africa.

| Minister of Transport, Abdullah Omar, visited UCW in May.
