Murray & Roberts, in joint venture with Al Habtoor Engineering Enterprises, has been awarded the contract to build the Al Jaber Complex/Shangrila Hotel in Dubai for Al Jaber Investments.

Prominently located on Sheikh Zayed Rd, construction started on 19 May 2001 and is scheduled for completion in February 2003. The value of the contract is R660 million.

In addition to the Shangrila Hotel, the Tower will house apartments, office space and a car park.
