| ANNOUNCEMENT BY GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE BRIAN BRUCE |
| I am pleased to announce that Mr Palello Lebaka will join Murray & Roberts
with effect from 1 January 2005. He will be appointed Managing Director
(Designate) of Union Carriage & Wagon Co. (Pty) Limited and The UCW Partnership.
This is a succession appointment to Mr Louis Taljaard who is due to retire by
June 2005.
Palello has spent his working career to date with Transwerk, where his most recent responsibility has been Centre Manager – Coach Business, based in Cape Town. He has also acted as National Business Manager (Coaches) for Transwerk. Pallelo will be stationed in Corporate Office initially, as he familiarises himself with the Group and the UCW partnership.
