| Murray & Roberts has sold Alloy Wheels International in the United Kingdom
with effect from 30 June 2002. The sale is subject to certain protective rights
in favour of the Group and its customers which are expected to have been
satisfied by 30 September 2002. As a result of the impairment provision created in respect of this investment in June 2000, this sale will have no impact on the Group's results for the year ended 30 June 2002. The Alloy Wheels International operation in South Africa has traded well in the past year. Murray & Roberts continues to support this business and its value proposition pending further developments on the engagement of a long term strategic partner or investor. This transaction has been facilitated by Bridge Capital.
