EXPECTED EARNINGS FOR THE HALF YEAR TO
31 DECEMBER 2009
Shareholders were advised in a trading statement
published on SENS dated 25 November 2009 that revenue
and operating profit for the first half-year to 31
December 2009 were expected to be 10% to 20% lower than
the previous comparable period and that diluted headline
earnings per share ("HEPS") and diluted earnings per
share ("EPS") were expected to be between 15% and 20%
lower than the previous comparable period.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Murray & Roberts regrets to advise that executive
director Sean Flanagan has resigned as a director and
employee of the Group with effect from 31 January 2010
citing health concerns.

Murray & Roberts has noted the recent request by
Emirate of Dubai state-owned developer Dubai World and
its subsidiary Nakheel, for a temporary suspension of
debt repayments.

TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the Business Update
published on SENS following the annual general meeting
of Murray & Roberts shareholders on 21 October 2009.
While there has been little change in market conditions
overall, the Group’s international operations are
experiencing more robust market activity than is evident
in South Africa.

BUSINESS UPDATE
There is growing evidence that key aspects of the global
economy are showing signs of recovery, with many
commodity prices and volumes having lifted appreciably
and stabilising off recent lows, global resources groups
cautiously reintroducing new capital expansion plans and
the banking sector is showing strong signs of recovery.
